Elton John Would "Ban Religion Completely"

Elton John, England's famous rock star, recently said in a TV interview, "I would ban religion completely...It turns people into really hateful lemmings, and it is not really compassionate." Being a knight of the realm, EJ feared not to explained the cause of his hostility: "Organized religion fuels ani-gay discrimination..." Of course he speaks by experience since he is married to his male lover. He did not however blame religion for his battles with drug and alcohol abuse.

When a homosexual celebrity says "I would ban religion completely" it is hardly noticed by the press. Should a prominent Christian say, "I would ban homosexuality completely," the cries of outrage would be heard around the world. The guilty party would be pronounced guilty of the most heinous crime and drawn and quartered by the media. It is reported that the famous atheist, Bertrand Russell, once confessed, We hated Christianity because it interfered with our chose life style."

Lemmings are those little mouse-like creatures that swarm after their leaders, plunging over the cliffs of Scandinavia and into the sea. Rather than a group of Christians worshiping Jehovah, this better describes a screaming crowd of young groupies at a rock concert.
