What a Record to be Proud Of

It is said that you can judge a person by the things to which he devotes his time and energy. There are people in our society that consider themselves to be of a higher moral order. They devote themselves with great zeal to their many causes. They are sometimes identified as liberals, or leftists and the catalog of their causes is quite remarkable.

They work fervently to save convicted murderers like Tookie Williams, founder of the bloody Crips street gang. While working feverishly to save one convicted of executing four innocent victims, they show no concern for his victims and their surviving family members.

They are determined to preserve a woman's right to abort their unwanted, pre-born babies. Even the grotesque practice of partial birth abortion is sacred to them.

They work tirelessly to deny parents any say in their minor daughter's having an abortion. They don't want them even to have prior knowledge of the fact. In the face of all the evidence, they deny that abortion is a serious and sometimes dangerous medical procedure.

They are staunch defenders of the homosexuals, not just to practice their deviant desires, but to flaunt and display their lifestyle open and publicly.

They show their contempt for traditional heterosexual marriage by encouraging and supporting efforts to legalize homosexual marriage.

They lend their support to and defend the pornography industry that exploits and denigrates human beings for the sexual gratification of others and the money it makes them.

They show contempt for their homeland and provide warm sympathy for an enemy that has vowed to destroy our nation. They are so foolish they do not understand they would be among the first to be executed should the Islamic terrorists prevail.

They hate the God who created them, the Christ who sacrificed his own life to save them, the Bible that provides the moral and ethical basis for our social order and churches that help to civilize humanity and are the first line of support for those who are in need. They devote themselves to efforts to eliminate them from all aspects of public life in our nation.

They routinely support the claims of criminals against those law officers who daily risk their to lives to protect them from harm.

They can't find anything good to say about our brave military personnel who have volunteered to stand between them and terrorists who would gladly kill them if they could.

Some of these folks are politicians, some are media spokespersons. Some are academics who are paid to teach and prepare our young people for productive adulthood. Some are students who have been brainwashed by their teachers. Many are in the entertainment industry. Many are the heirs of wealth their parents earned in this wonderful land of freedom and opportunity. Not many of them however are hardworking citizens who earn their livelihood in productive employment. Not many are devout, Bible-believing, church going folks who order their lives according to the teachings of that sacred book. Those who take Christ seriously strive to live, sober, righteous and godly lives (Tit. 2:12). Rather than have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness they reprove them (Eph. 5:11-12).
