Before Your Time Runs Out
It is no secret that the average age of America's population is
rising. Living in an area with lots of retirement
communities, we see aged citizens all about us. Many of those who
assemble with us are senior citizens who have lived long and well. Once
started, the clock of life runs swift and sure to its end. For some
that will be in early life for others it will be after many
years. But we can all be certain that death will come. "It is
appointed unto man, once to die, then cometh judgment" (Heb.
9:27). Not knowing when the clock of my life will stop I have
to make my preparation for eternity now, while time is yet with me.
Paul says, "Today is the day of salvation" (II Cor. 6:2). It
is axiomatic, that the longer one has lived, the less days he or she
has left to enjoy.
Gathered with us each week are some who have not yet made their peace
with God. They have not claimed the great salvation which Christ has
provided. If such be your case, we urge you and pray
fervently that you will not allow time to run out for you.
The Lord's will for your salvation is so simple. Believe in Him as the
Son of God and your Savior (Mark 16:15). Confess your faith
(Matt. 10:32). Repent and be baptized in his name (Acts
2:38). He will remit you sins and bless you with the gift of
his Holy Spirit. While time is yours, please make your
decision to obey the Master. If you wish to make your
commitment, just give me a call, day or night (623) 214-3715.
