Live The Life
Yes, Christianity is about heaven! To live in eternal bliss with our
Creator is its great reward (Rev. 21:3-7). Yes, Christianity is about
assembling for worship (Heb. 10:25). Yes, it is about quiet moments of
Bible study, prayer and meditation. But the Christian religion is also
about living a rewarding and meaningful life. Jesus came that
we might have an abundant life (John 10:10). His sacred message
includes guidance for the everyday, ordinary aspects of life. It deals
with human relations (Matt. 7:12). It speaks of personal
integrity; matters such as honesty, truthfulness, and personal
responsibility. It has much to say about home and family
duties (Eph. 5:22-25; 6:1-4). It teaches us to be good
neighbors and to help those who are weak (Jas. 1:27; Gal.
6:10). It promises joy and happiness to all who love and
follow Christ with all their heart (Matt. 22:37; Phil.4:4). It shows us
how to deal with adversaries and enemies (Rom. 12:17-21). It reminds us
of our duty to share the blessings of salvation with those
with whom we come in contact (Acts 8:4). We are to live our
message so that our neighbors can see the influence of Christ in our
lives and be drawn to the Father (Matt. 5:14-16). It prepares
us to face aging, suffering and the end of our earthly lives (II Tim.
4:6).
Live the Christian life to the fullest! You will find more
happiness and satisfaction than you ever dreamed of. Jesus guarantees
it. On top of all of that, you will have heaven to look
forward to!
