Politically Incorrect Church

Daily, the angry thought and speech police watch us, hoping they can catch us uttering some forbidden word or idea. Freedom of speech and thought means nothing to these vigilantes. Finding a brave or ignorant soul violating their code, they sweep down like eagles, screaming death and destruction and sinking their deadly talons into his throat. Reputations are destroyed, jobs and contracts are lost and careers destroyed. No one is exempt from these enforcers, including churches. Remarkably, many of their favorite issues are in conflict with the will of God expressed in the Bible.
  • Politically Correctness Police (PCP) say all religions are equally valid and useful. Scriptures says that Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no one cometh to the Father but by him" (John 14:6). Peter says there is no salvation, except in Christ (Acts 4:11-12). Religions may be ancient, respectable, interesting and beneficial to folks, but not able to save their souls in eternity, saith Jehovah!
  • PCP say that homosexual relationships are beautiful and wonderful and that practitioners should be welcomed into churches, even allowed to preach.  God says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." (Leviticus 18:22).
  • PCP say that restrictions on women are evil and must be overthrown.  To his church, God says, " I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have dominion over a man..." (I Timothy 2:12).
  • PCP argue that individuals should not be condemned for conduct God has forbidden.  God who is both the creator and judge of all says, "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them..." (Ephesians 5:11).
  • PCP say that babies in the womb are not human life and can be destroyed at will by abortion and those who object are bigots.  God, the giver of life, says that all human life is made in his image (Genesis 1:26) and forbids man to kill (Exodus 20:13). He says that destroying human life is a crime worthy of capital punishment (Genesis 9:6).
Thus a church faithful to God is hopelessly politically incorrect. If such a church appeals to you, visit the Church of Christ near you.
