See How the Heathen Rage

Reading the Arizona Republic, one gets the distinct impression that the editors share the sentiments of the Jewish Anti-Defamation League that Mel Gibson's movie, the Passion of Christ, should not be shown. Their feature pieces by Paul Ginnetty and Robert Nilsen demonstrate that reporters as well as producers can be anti-Christian and well as anti-Semitic. Ginnetty slams Mr. Gibson as "sanctimonious." He judges his heart, by accusing him of being anti-Semitic. He demeans his faith as "Rear-guard Traditionalist Catholic." He disparages the Christian Scriptures, painting them as unreliable. He impunes the record of the Apostle John who was eye-witnesses of the entire trial and death of Christ. Ginnetty evidently thinks he knows more about the events than did the eyewitness. Nilsen's reviews of movies about Christ show he prefers the kind that distort and even blaspheme Jesus to those that truthfully depict his life. Both writers falsely assume that Christians are naturally disposed to hate Jews and easily inflamed to persecute them. If we Christians are expected to (hide) the historical facts of our religion to please the our Jewish neighbors, are Jews expected to do the same about their religion which is offensive to Muslims? Rewriting history is the special (skill) of the enforcers of political correctness. Truth loving people will not bow to their demands.
