Will You Help Me Understand Revelation ?

Dear Bible Teacher:
I am a new Christian and I am reading my Bible every day. I am reading the book of Revelation and find it very confusing. Can you help me?

Dear Singh:
The Bible likens the new Christian to a baby. Just as babies need milk rather than meat, so you need to be feeding on the milk of God's word (I Peter 2:2). Let the Book of Revelation wait a while. It is the strongest meat of God's Word. Begin your reading in the Gospels. Learn all you can about Jesus. Read the Book of Acts and see how the church began and grew.

Read the Book of Genesis and see how God created all that is. When you have finished them you can move to the Epistles of the New Testament and learn about Christian doctrine and living. In time you can tackle the strong meat books, even Revelation. As you read, ask God to bless you... to open you mind and heart so that you can understand and accept the great truths you discover.
